Bhandardara is a hill village on Arthur Lake in the Sahyadri range of Maharashtra, a few hours from Mumbai. We drove up for two days at the end of the monsoon, when the ghats are at their greenest and the lake is full, and filmed it in 4K.

  1. Day 1
    Mumbai to BhandardaraAbout 180 km via the Mumbai–Nashik highway, Igatpuri and Ghoti. The Ghoti–Bari road under the Kalsubai range, then sunset on Arthur Lake.

  2. Day 2
    Arthur Lake, Ratanwadi and SamradDawn on the lake, the road to Ratangad Fort, the submerged forest in the Ratanwadi backwaters and the Samrad clifftop above Sandhan Valley. Home past the windmills near Sinnar and along the Samruddhi Mahamarg.
